News: District Welcomes New Deputy Superintendent

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District welcomes new Deputy Superintendent of Business Services, Lydia Cano.
Over the past few months the District conducted an extensive search for a candidate to succeed Pearl Iizuka who retired in December. After considering several outstanding applicants, the Board of Education voted on December 13th to employ Lydia Cano as the new Deputy Superintendent of Business Services, effective January 1st. Lydia has over twelve years of experience as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services and Director of Fiscal Services for the El Rancho Unified School District and the Little Lake City School District. She has the experience, knowledge, and expertise to assist with the fiscal problems that school districts in California are facing.
